Microchip Clinic Registration

Spay Neuter Kingston Initiative runs low-cost microchip clinics multiple times throughout the year. Keep watch of our Facebook page or the Kingston Community Lost & Found Pets Facebook page for an announcement of upcoming dates!

About our Microchip Clinics:

We offer low-cost microchips for cats and dogs throughout the year at various locations in Kingston. Local veterinarians, vet techs and volunteers run this clinic, which is why we are able to keep the costs low. We ask pet owners to register and pay prior to the microchip clinic, in addition, we ask that you arrive on time for your specific appointment, which is emailed after registration. We do offer walk-ins for $20 cash during designated times of the clinic, which we will advertise at the time of the clinic.

What is Included:

For the low-cost of $15.00 and no more than 15 minutes of your time, your pet will be microchipped and you will have the peace of mind knowing that your pet has a higher chance of making it home in the event that he/she is lost! The microchipping process takes less than 5 minutes and our volunteers will provide you with a copy of your paperwork. After the clinic, one of our volunteers will enter in your microchip/pet information into the Pet Point system to complete the microchip registration. Once completed, we will email you an electronic copy of your paperwork, along with instructions on how to use the 24PetWatch login page.

FAQ:

Can my puppy or kitten be microchipped? Puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older can be safely microchipped. We use “micro” microchips which are smaller than the standard microchip, this provides even less ouch factor for small pets and is safe for puppies and kittens.

Can my bird/bunny/rat be microchipped? Unfortunately, we can only offer microchips to dogs and cats.

Can I arrive early for my appointment? We ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. The appointment is quick and should take no longer than 15 minutes in total if everyone arrives for their scheduled time. If you would like a different appointment time, please contact microchipclinic@snki.org
